Roma ACCESS had mobilized 80 Roma from Constanta for participating to the public protest organized in Bucharest by Roma Civic Alliance and Divano Romano. At the protest participated approximately 500 Roma form different parts of Romania. The protest was organized in front of the Government requesting the resigning of Minister of Foreign affairs Teodor Baconschi who said: "We have some physiological, natural problems of infractionality in the midst of some Romanian communities, especially among the Romanian citizens of Roma etnicity."
We consider that associating infractionality with the ethnicity harms the right of Roma to dignity, and it breaches Romanian,European and International legislation on Human Rights.
